Who still don’t know what Android is look at homepages of this project (for developers). In short, Android is operation system for mobile phones (it’s currently testing as operation system for classic computers as well). It’s based on Linux kernel but whole software pack runs in Delvik Virtual machine … yes, virtual machine, so whole code is in my favorite Java.
